Firm Biography
After serving a combined eighteen years in key Senate staff positions, Thomas D. Parry (1947-2001) and Romano Romani founded the firm of Parry and Romani Associates, Inc. in February of 1984. Senator Dennis DeConcini joined the firm in 1995 after serving 18 years in the United States Senate. The firm name was changed to Parry, Romani & DeConcini. When Senator Steve Symms joined the firm in February of 2001, the name was then changed to Parry, Romani, DeConcini & Symms. The firm is one of the most successful and effective in the crowded field of Washington legislative advocacy.
From their very first client, they have attracted many of the most prestigious corporations and associations active in Washington. Today, the list of active clients numbers around thirty and includes General Nutrition Center, Chiron, Verizon, General Motors Corporation, Prudential Financial, Tracfone, Hoffmann LaRoche Pharmaceuticals, Maricopa Community College District and the AIDS Healthcare Foundation.
In over twenty years of service to the firm's diversified clientele, Mr. Parry, Dr. Romani, Senator DeConcini and Senator Symms have successfully overseen numerous legislative efforts. While the firm has handled issues before a wide variety of Congressional committees, it has been especially active with the Senate and House Judiciary and Appropriations Committees; the Senate Finance Committee; the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee, the Senate Environment & Public Works and Commerce, Science and Transportation Committees; the House Commerce Committee; and the Food and Drug Administration.
Together, Dr. Romani, Senator DeConcini, Senator Symms and their associates have amassed over seventy years of Congressional experience. They have been involved in every aspect of the legislative process, and constitute one of Washington's top teams of lobbyists and legislative consultants.
